Merry Xmas 2019: Have you lost yourself in the midst of all the shopping and parties?

Its 2019 Christmas eve when I am writing this post and I guess most people are still in the shopping malls doing their last minute shopping or dolling up for the party of the night, sometimes even those that you may be reluctant to turn up for.

But is that the real meaning of Christmas?

I have not gone very deep into Christianity but I do have friends who can memorise the Bible and most have always told me or murmured:

“that’s not what Christmas is all about”

whenever I ask them have they finished their Christmas shopping.

I guess because Christmas comes at a time nearing the end of a year, even if you are not a Christian, it should be a time when you can take a small break before THE New Year to really settle down and reflect how your entire year has been for you, to turn inwards, to reflect, to reconnect, with yourself.

Have I been the best version of myself this year?

For new friends and people you have met this year, are you able to build a better relationship with them over the days that have passed? For people you have come into conflict with, can you go beyond your ego and bless them?

Can you go beyond your old habits? Can you go beyond your emotions? Can you find yourself?

Most importantly,

Can I forgive myself for not being able to?

Merry Xmas and may all be well and happy =)
