Scientific Proof to How your Body react to Acupuncture - Stress management

Regular frequent sessions of Acupuncture can release Stress.

Stress is part of the life for most of us in this fast paced modern society. Different people have different presentations when they are stressed. Some examples are increase in blood pressure, increase in heart rate and heart palpitations, jaw clenching or Temporomandibular Disorder, chronic fatigue, anxiety , depression, gastric reflux, gastritis, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, insomnia, chronic pains in neck and shoulders and many others. Yet all the above presentations due to stress have scientific proofs that acupuncture can help recover and heal them.

And in this blog post, I will show you some scientific papers which supports the fact that Acupuncture indeed can help with stress management.

Conclusion: Acupuncture blocks the chronic, stress-induced elevations of the Hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis hormones and the sympathetic NPY pathway. Our growing body of evidence points to acupuncture’s protective effect against the stress response.

Conclusion: Acupuncture is successful in decreasing the perception of stress in students and staff at a large urban university, and this effect persists for at least 3 months after the completion of treatment.

Conclusion: Acupuncture can release hormones like endorphins. From a physiological perspective, the stimulation of acupoints promotes the release of ‘happy hormones,’ like endorphins and other natural chemicals that signal to the body that it is safe, secure, and can relax and turn off its stress response.
