Checklist for Adrenal Fatigue

As we are back into the rat race of overworking and then indulging in escapism rituals like holidays, holidays and more holidays, you may realise after a while that you are in a constant tiredness that does not wear away with sleep, no matter how long that is. When people would ask how you are doing and the “I’m just tired” response was used too many times. Usually tiredness is not the only discomfort that is felt as many other accompanying symptoms can tag along. And if majority of the symptoms are ticked, you may be suffering from Adrenal Fatigue.

Want to check if you are fatigued, adrenally?

Check those symptoms that you are feeling all these while:

1.       Decreased ability to handle stress, mood swings, irritability

2.       Weight gain, especially around the mid rift or the muffin top syndrome

3.       Increased food intolerances, allergies and sensitivities

4.       Low blood pressure or light headedness

5.       Feelings of blacking out

6.       Decreased sex drive

7.       Always tired, not refreshed by sleep

8.       Unexplained muscle soreness or weakness

9.       Unexplained headaches

10.   Low immunity or catching a flu easily

11.   Frequent feeling of coldness in hands and feet

12.   Depression and frequent feelings of despair

13.   Unexplained nausea

14.   Unexplained need for caffeine to get going in morning

15.   Swollen lymph nodes

16.   Swelling in the face and eyes when waking

17.   Strong cravings for salty or sweet or fatty foods

18.   Disrupted sleep or difficulty falling asleep

19.   Increased PMS symptoms

20.   A burst of energy that keep you awake till 1am or 2am if not asleep by 10.30pm

21.   Heavy periods for the first few days which stop and then start up again a couple of days later

So if you have more than half of the symptoms, chances are that you are suffering from Adrenal Fatigue.
