Bazi Fengshui Series: What is Luck?

By Wikipedia definition, luck is the success or failure apparently brought by chance rather than through one's own actions.

But what is chance? Is everything really a pure coincidence when luck strikes?

My belief is luck is the positive results from the ripening of past actions that one has committed, only to be delayed by time and waiting for the right circumstances and conditions to come together for fruition of effects. Everything happens for a reason. And whatever that is done at this point becomes also the seed for future fruits. And the cycle goes on and on.

Luck is the time factor.

In Metaphysics Bazi, there is a thing called Luck Cycle. Which means the life of a person is going to have changes every 10 years of the cycle. Hence is this by chance or predetermined? Well, it is considered predetermined as it is calculated based on the elemental make up of the person at birth and we simply do a mathematical projection to ‘predict’ what may occur. But this Luck Cycle is not given to the person by the Universe or some other Higher Power out there. It is due to the past actions, thoughts and intentions of the person with that elemental makeup that results in such potential occurrences.

Luck is self created.

Do good and good luck follows. And the opposite holds true. Even when your life is meant to be in the ‘bad’ Luck Cycle, whatever good you have done will neutralize the ‘badness’ that you are meant to experience.
