Interesting TCM Facts 101: Morality is reflected from the Physical Health

The personality and even morality of the person can be known simply by assessing the physical health. Why? Because the condition of the five main organs in the body are reflective of the morality standards upheld by the person. Reason being the different organs emit different positive energy which shows up in the behavior and believes of a person.

The five kinds of traditional moralities include

仁-benevolence

义-righteousness

礼-respect

智-wisdom

信- trustworthiness

And they tally with the five main organs respectively:

Benevolence - Liver

Respect - Heart

Trustworthiness - Spleen

Wisdom - Kidneys

Righteousness - Lungs

The opposite holds true. When a person is ill internally, morality standards drop and the opposites of each morality can show up. Benevolence can turn to maliciousness when Liver is off balance, righteousness can turn to dishonesty when Lungs are hurt, respect can turn to scorn when Heart is imbalanced, wisdom can turn to ignorance when Kidneys are off and trustworthiness can turn to mistrust and suspicion when Spleen is not in the optimal condition.
