My Journey of becoming a TCM Physician Chap 22: The All-Possible Rice Cooker
I was walking around in the supermarket today and the small rice cookers that were stacked at one corner caught my attention. Because the size and the capacity of the rice cooker was similar to what I had during my years of stay in China as a humble student. (Somehow these days many objects popped into my life that could make me start reminiscing..)
One pot meal was the best dish for survival as a student then because it was the easiest and most convenient meal to prepare. The rice cooker was not only a rice cooker, its purpose expanded under the highly creative juices and limited resources to a steamer, a stir fry pan, a soup brewer, an omelet fryer and there was even once I tried to bake a cake and create Chicken Rice and Laksa with it. Anything and everything was literally possible.
Looking back, why did it feel like everything just happened yesterday?
