Location:

With the eyes looking straight forward, the acupoint is directly below the pupil, between the eyeball and the lower eye socket bone ridge.

Scientific Benefits:

• Treats swelling and pain of eye, epiphora with wind, eyelid tremulous, facial paralysis.

• Treats myopia, night blindness, tremor, blepharospasm, keratitis, optic atrophy, eye fatigue, presbyopia, cataracts and other eye diseases.

Spirituality Fact:

This acupoint is located below the eye, a place for receiving tears. Therefore it is a place to process and receive grief and sadness.

The energy or Qi of Stomach Meridian come out of this acupoint. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, worry holds in the Stomach, therefore, Cheng Qi acupoint is also one that allows worry to emerge and release.

This acupoint is hence a point to process and hold released emotions as they emerge in the form of tears.
